Mr. John Appiah Biney is one of the most accomplished corporate leaders to emerge in the last 30 years in Ghana. Mr. Biney holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of J. A. Biney Group.

From a modest beginning, he has grown the company into a Group of Companies that consists of five subsidiaries: J. A. Biney & Co. Ltd (manufacturers of disinfectants and detergents and a significant supplier of industrial chemicals), J. A. Biney Plastics Ltd., Biney Hotel Ltd., J. A. Biney Construction Co. Ltd. and Biney Timber Co. Ltd. (A leading member in the Timber & Lumber Industry).

With his vision, commitment, and hard work, he has created a niche for his products in the market for disinfectants and detergents, making them the favored brands on the Ghanaian market. J. A. Biney & Co. Ltd. has subsequently won various honors for its products and brands.

Due to his experience and knowledge, Mr. Biney serves on a number of boards such as Vice Chairman of the Association Ghana Industries (AGI), Chemical Division.
